The Department of Chemistry – Ångström hereby invites all interested to a docentship lecture in the subject of Materials Chemistry.
Chairperson: Prof. Daniel Brandell
Representative of the Docentship Committee: Prof. Adolf Gogoll
Abstract: "Transport of atoms or small molecules in condensed matter is crucial for many energy-related applications such as carbon capture and separation, and battery technologies. Although mass transport is a macroscopic property it emerges from mechanisms at the atomistic level. This lecture will discuss diffusivity from the micro- to the macroscale and how fundamental laws of physics and chemistry allow us to model, understand and predict diffusivity in materials and materials design. "
The lecture is an obligatory teaching test for those applying for admittance as docent and it should be possible for students and others with basic academic education in the relevant field to follow it. The lecture lasts 40-45 minutes with subsequent discussion. The lecture will be given in Swedish.
Welcome!
