Evacuation plan for Ångstrom Laboratory
Ångstrom Laboratory is divided into 2 stages/main zones: Zone 1 (northern Ångström) and zone 2 (southern Ångström). The dividing line passes immediately north of Buildings 6 and 7.
Normally only one of the zones will be affected, and in that case those with disabilities can move to safety by making their way to the other zone. Evacuation drills affect both zones.
The following division applies to the evacuation alarm:
Alarm triggered in | Alarm bells ring in |
CLEAN ROOM | Building 1, zone 1, Building 3 and clean room |
BUILDING 1, zone 1 | All buildings zone 1 |
BUILDING 2 | Building 1, zone 1 and Building 2 |
BUILDING 3 | Building 1, zone 1 and Building 3 |
BUILDING 4 | Building 1, zone 1 and Building 4 |
BUILDING 5 | Building 1, zone 1 and Building 5 |
BUILDING 1, zone 2 | All buildings zone 2 |
BUILDING 6 | Building 1, zone 2 and Building 6 |
BUILDING 7 | Building 1, zone 2 and Building 7 |
BUILDING 8 | Building 1, zone 2 and Building 8 |
The evacuation plan shows regular entrances with red arrows and emergency exits with blue arrows. Doors with a plastic cover over the door knob are opened by removing the cover. Other doors are opened with emergency handles.
